brilliant idea-from-my-shower of the night:
The cost of music should be reversely proportional to its popularity. Example: aw man I got that shit back when it was two bucks a song! Or: if you just want to catch up on all the stuff you hear on the radio? 2 cents a song. Clearly they’re selling enough to make a living, right?
POSTER DESIGN CONTEST!!
Heyyyyyy! Are you a graphic designer? Do you have skillz? I’m having a poster design contest, and the winner (picked by me!) gets $400!
I’m gonna use the winning design on posters that I’ll be bringing out with me on tour, and also gonna include them in the presale orders of my new
record… Go to http://bit.ly/pMGj15 for guidelines on what we’re looking for
and where to upload your design - I can’t wait to see what y’all come
up with! Good luck ;) *m
I am all over this.
I just know~ exactly what it should look like:

…..okay so maybe not quite like that…
But I’m definitely going to try. I love graphics projects, even though I have very limited skills and even fewer tools. Bah ba ba! Project! Yay! It will be fun. And hey, if it looks the best, I could be $400 richer.

Re: Assumptions and Math Class
- Student: I'm never going to use this.
- Me: Well, I never thought I was going to either.
- Student: Yeah, but this is your choice.
- Me: No, not really.
- Student: You choose to help with math.
- Me: No, it's my job.
- Student: Then get a different job.
- Me: There aren't any others. This is the only one.
- Student: So you don't have a choice either?
- Me: No, I do have a choice. I could have chosen no job.
- Student: So you're making a choice to do something you don't like?
- Me: I didn't say that, but it pays the bills, keeps me fed and clothed.
- Student: Can we just go over the factoring again?
- Me: So you're making a choice to do something you don't like?
Playlist: Spitting Dirt from My Teeth
Today’s playlist has nothing to do with the lyrics or literal meanings of the songs. I was just looking for some really gritty music, and this is what I’ve been listening to so far.
Obviously I love all of these songs, but Meiko’s “Real Real Sweet” and “Good Looking Loser” are favorites of mine: perfect balance of sweet melody and harsh grittiness.
